Globalisation
If you were to look at where the products in your bedroom, or the groceries in your kitchen come from, you would see that they come from all over the world. Trade has globalised and goods and services are traded across the world. As we have already seen, there are a number of advantages for businesses to operate internationally.
Some of the features of globalisation are trading blocks, mobility of labour and international capital. There are also several currencies that are used in a number of countries, e.g. the euro.
It features multinational corporations, international business communications and international payment systems that enable businesses to operate more easily across the world and we will look at some of them in this module.
