Quality standards

British Standards Institution (BSI)
In the United Kingdom, the main body that manages quality standards is the British Standards Institution (BSI). BSI is a not-for-profit organization and offers global services in the areas of standardisation, systems assessment, product certification, training and advisory services.

BSI also produces technical standards on a wide range of products and services and also supplies certification and standards services to businesses.

The kite mark system is administered by the BSI. The kite mark is a symbol indicating that the quality of a product has been tested.
