Reasons for success

What counts as success varies from business to business. For example, we’ve already looked at the fact that there are businesses who don’t seek to make profits. These businesses want to make enough money to keep doing what they are doing, for example Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is a not-for-profit company that provides water to every family in Wales. Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water does not make a profit for shareholders but rather aims to earn enough money to continue to provide clean water for the people of Wales.

Businesses may have other reasons for success. They may have a clear vision of what they want to achieve or have an innovative product or process they want to develop.
